Flu-K (Flucloxacillin) is a isoxazolyl penicillin which is a bactericidal & is active against gram positive bacteria, gets the property of resistance to breakage by penicillinase & stable in gastric acid. It is particularly active against penicillinase producing staphylococci with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.25-0.5 mcg per ml.
FLU-K (Flucloxacillin) is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by Gram-positive organisms, including infections caused by Betalactamase producing Staphylococci.
