Gludex (Dexamethasone) is in a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It is a synthetic corticosteroid that inhibits processes in the body that cause the production of substances that trigger allergic and inflammatory actions. Therefore, the swelling and pain of inflammatory conditions is decreased.

Gludex E/E Drops is generally indicated as below -

Eye: Steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the globe, such as allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis, iritis, scleritis, corneal injury from chemical or thermal burns, or penetration of foreign bodies.

Ear: Indicated in the steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the external auditory meatus, such as allergic otitis externa, selected purulent and non-purulent infective otitis externa.
