Olone-DS (Olopatadine) is an anti-allergic drug, inhibitor of the release of histamine by stabilizing the mast cells and relatively selective histamine H1-antagonist that inhibits the type-1 immediate hypersensitivity reaction including inhibition of histamine-induced inflammatory effects on human conjunctival epithelial cells. Thus it inhibits mast cell degranulation & histamine release and prevents histamine binding to its receptors. Olopatadine has no effects on alpha-adrenergic, dopamine and muscarinic type 1 and 2 receptors.

Olon-DS Eye Drops is indicated for the treatment of signs & symptoms of itchy, watery, red and swollen eyes or eyelids associated with allergic conjunctivitis including vernal keratoconjunctivitis, vernal keratitis, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis and giant papillary conjunctivitis.
